This recipe was taken from one of my favourite websites, Train Eat Gain (www.traineatgain.com).
This is one of the easiest recipes I have ever come across. I promise you, after making this you will never buy Nutella ever again! The beauty about this recipe is that it is full of good nutrients! The hazelnuts are full of healthy fats, protein and fibre, and the raw cocoa powder contains magnesium and is full of antioxidants!
270g dry roasted hazelnuts
2 tbsp high quality vanilla extract
30g dark cocoa powder
85g of honey
70ml unsweetened almond milk
1-2 tbsp coconut oil
1. If you couldn’t buy dry roasted hazelnuts, then simply roast them in an oven on 200 c until golden
2. Combine all ingredients in a blender and blitz until smooth
3. Put into an air tight container or jar and store in the fridge until needed
4. If you would like to make the spread smoother, simply add a little more coconut oil until you get the preferred texture
See!!! It is that easy! 🙂 The spread is incredible, it has a great texture & is simply delicious. If you loooove Nutella but are trying to cut down on the junk food then this is the recipe for you. It is perfect to put into your protein oats, spread onto rice cakes, add into your smoothies, smother a slice of homemade protein banana bread or just sit in front of the TV, in your pj’s with a spoon!
