I always get upset when I have nearly finished any of my favourite nut butters, however it can only mean one thing! Overnight soaked oats ❤
When I started eating right I went to Instagram for inspiration and came across Clean Fit Lifestyle (http://instagram.com/cleanfitlifestyle?modal=true, https://twitter.com/ToTallyfitlife). Tally soaked oats overnight in a nut butter jar that was nearly empty – genius!! Two of my favourite things, combined and soaked over night with other ingredients to make the most delicious breakfast ever! It is something that I make regularly on my high carb days, changing the fruit and nut butter every time for new fun flavours. I have decided to do a Christmas version of soaked outs and wanted to share this festive recipe with you!
1 tbsp Hognuts Christmas Pudding Nut Butter
1 scoop Vanilla Reflex Instant Whey Pro
1/2 cup Gluten Free Oats
1/2 cup Total 0% Greek Yoghurt
1/2 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk
1/2 tbsp Ground Cinnamon
1/2 tbsp Ground Ginger
1 Small Handful Frozen Cranberries
1 Handful Mixed Dried Fruit
1. Mix together all the dry ingredients in a bowl
2. Add the wet ingredients (exlcuding the cranberries) and combine together until you get a lovely thick & delicious mixture
4. Pour into a glass jar/container and top with the frozen cranberries and place in the fridge overnight
4. Take out the fridge in the morning and get stuck in!
This scrumptious festive breakfast is to die for. All the preparation is done the night before, so you can treat yourself to a lie in and grab this breakfast on the go! It’s rich, creamy, packed full of protein & has an amazing festive flavour that sets you up for a long day. I normally do this in an empty nut butter jar but I wanted to do a festive one and somehow, I haven’t finished the Christmas nut butter yet from Hognuts!
Without a doubt, this has been one of the most delicious soaked oats I have ever done! If you don’t believe me – try it for yourself! 🙂
