Date and Walnut Chocolate Peanut Butter Energy Bites

Happy hump day from the U.S. my lovelies 🙂

If you fancy making some raw, tasty, energy bites that are ready in no time at all and are perfect if you need something on the go then I’ve got just the recipe for you!

I actually made these before heading out here but recently re-made them for my godmother and she absolutely loved them! She’s diabetic too (and very fussy) so I was so flattered they got her seal of approval 😉

I used walnuts here as their flavour & nutritional benefits are definitely underrated- they are packed full of healthy omega 3 fatty acids, bursting with anti-oxidants as well as B & E vitamins.

I also used Chocolate Peanut Butter NutsnMore which is so silky and dreamy, I absolutely adore it and bought it from Cardiff Sports Nutrition:

You could also sub it for Chocolate Almond NutsnMore or Justin’s Chocolate Hazelnut Butter if you have any allergies or prefer other butters 🙂

So let’s get rolling!

Ingredients

60g oats

60g walnuts

1 scoop (30g) PB protein whey

2 TBS nutsnmore choc PB

4 dates

1 TBS honey

 

Method

1-Simply blitz together the dry ingredients

2-Blend the dates with the honey and peanut butter

3-Combine the wet and dry ingredients

4- Now this is the fun part, get your hands into the bowl and roll the mixture into balls

5-The mix should make about 8 large balls depending on the size you make them

You could pop them into the fridge for 30 minutes to firm up if you wish but the great thing is, they’re ready to eat instantly 🙂
